The lighting shows it’s a dark and a retro vibe and it shows that it is based in a spooky and supernatural scene and it’s based in a old timey and retro year for a example the 1960s to 1980s when the show is based in. Later in the starting scene you go into the lab and see a flashing lights that gives off a scary supernatural essence
